MATAN AND CORTEZ, 2015 STUDY VISIT TO TAIWAN PROGRAM FELLOWS
Mrs Gemma Cortez and Lourdes Matan, 2009 Winners of the Search for Outstanding Teachers were recipients of a one-week fellowship (December 6-12, 2015) under the 2015 Study Visit to Taiwan Program. The fellowship is a joint undertaking of the Association for International NGO Studies (AINGOS) and the Metrobank Foundation under the MBFI Fellowship for International Understanding. The program aims to foster international understanding through the exchange of information and ideas and sharing of expertise between the Philippines and Taiwan.
The two fellows were given the opportunity to visit a number of educational institutions in Taiwan and had the chance to dialogue with education/university/school officials. Cortez is currently the Education Program Supervisor of Dasmariñas City while Matan is Principal I at Caybago Elementary School in Calbayog City.
