TWO METROBNAK WINNERS FETED IN MALACAÑAN

Dr. Teodora Balangcod, SOT 2014 Winner from UP Baguio and Menia Alvidera SOT 2005 Winner from President Manuel Roxas Memorial School South, Roxas City) won the 2015 Civil Service Lingkod Bayan and Dangal ng Bayan award, respectively. The ceremonies were held at the Rizal Hall of Malacañanm Palace last November 9.

The Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award is conferred to an individual or group of individuals for exceptional or extraordinary contributions resulting from an idea or performance that had nationwide impact on public interest, security, and patrimony. The contribution may be a suggestion, innovation, or superior accomplishment. Awardees receive a gold-gilded medallion expertly crafted by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), a presidential plaque containing the citation and signature of the President of the Philippines, and a cash prize of P200,000.

The Dangal ng Bayan Award is conferred to an individual for performing extraordinary act or public service and consistent demonstration of exemplary ethical behavior on the basis of the employee’s observation of the eight norms of conduct provided under Republic Act No. 6713 or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees. Awardees receive a trophy designed by National Artist for Sculpture Napoleon V. Abueva and a cash prize of P200,000
