NOTED CONDUCTS MORE DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY TRAINING FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS
As part of its continuing commitment to “building teacher leaders”, the Network of Outstanding Teachers and Educators (NOTED), through its PROJECT UPDATE (Upscaling the Professional Development and Advancement of Teachers and Educators) sponsored new batches of teacher trainees from the Divisions of Manila and Cavite on the use of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) last September 19 and October 3 at the Computer Laboratory of the Albertus Magnus Building, University of Santo Tomas Bannering the theme “Growing with Technology, Advancing in Pedagogy,” the workshops were anchored on an instructional framework called TPACK (Technological, Pedagogical Content Knowledge) that hoped to see the fit between technology and traditional teaching. The workshop was conducted in partnership with the University of Santo Tomas Educational Technology Center and the College of Education. Ms. Marichou Beltran, a teacher volunteer of UST Education facilitated the training workshop.
