2015 National Teachers' Month: NOTED Poster Making Contest


Mechanics and Criteria for the On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest

The On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest is part of Network of Outstanding Teachers and Educators’ (NOTED) contribution to the 2015 National Teacher’s Month Campaign. The contest aims to provide a venue for elementary students to express their views about the Filipino Teachers: Mirror of Heroism, Cradle of Excellence through poster making.

A. Mechanics

  1. The NOTED NTM Poster Making Contest is open to all elementary students from the National Capital Region (NCR) or the nearby provinces. Only one contestant per school shall be accepted.

  2. Contestants, duly endorsed by the principal must pre-register with a Poster Making Entry Form. To register, email the Poster Making Entry Form to noted2015ntm@gmail.com on or before August 5, 2015. The contestant must present his/her school ID and the accomplished confirmation slip upon registration on the day of the contest.

  3. The theme for the poster making/painting contest shall be: “The Filipino Teacher: Mirror of Heroism, Cradle of Excellence”.

  4. Cray-Pas, oil paints and water color are the only materials allowed for the on-the-spot poster making contest. The organizers will provide 1/8 sized illustration board ( 10 x 15) for the contest. All other materials and accessories (e.g. easel board, brushes, floor mats) shall be provided/brought by the participants during the contest day.

  5. All artworks must be done on the spot and must be completed within the allotted time of two and a half hours.

  6. All entries will be pre-numbered. Any form of identification of the contestant or school (logo, signature, names) must not be placed on the face of the entered art work.

  7. Any entry that violates any of the rules and regulations as promulgated by the organizers at any time may be disqualified outright.

  8. All entries shall be judged by a Board of Judges composed of experts in the field arts and education. The decision of the Board of Judges shall be final and unappealable.

  9. Winners will receive a certificate of recognition and a cash prize. Teacher coaches will be given certificates for their participation

  1. Winning and all other entries shall be the property of the organizers and may be used for other advocacy activities.

  2. Contest day shall be on August 15, 2015 (Saturday), 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, at the College of Education, University of Santo Tomas. Registration starts at 6:30 am and ends at 7:45 am. Winners will be notified through electronic mail. Awarding of winners shall be on September 5, 2015 at University of Santo Tomas.
