Metrobank NOTED dominates Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Essay Writing Contest
Three NOTED members won the Queensland University of Technology Essay Writing Contest. The winning essays were written by Dr. Evelina Vicencio (SOT 1988), Dr. Allan B. de Guzman (SOT 2011) and Dr. Mercedita J. Labial (SOT 2010). The contest was opened to all Filipino QUT alumni with the question: “How has your experience in QUT Australia impacted your work or life? More than 35 entries were received from various agencies and institutions in the Philippines.

Vicencio and de Guzman were recipients of a one-month Australian Fellowship Program in Curriculum Leadership for the Advancement of Dynamic Education (CLADE) in 2014. while Labial participated in a two-week fellowship under the Strengthening Leadership and Teaching Excellence Skills (SLATES) program in 2012.
The winners were recognized by QUT Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Peter Coaldrake during the QUT-Philippine Universities Signing Ceremony and Alumni Function last March 4 at Makati Shangrila Hotel.
