Makalinao receives UP alumna award

A toxicologist won a distinguished outstanding alumna award from the University of the Philippines. In recognition of her outstanding leadership, achievement and contribution in the fields of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Dr. Irma Makalinao received the 2015 University of the Philippines Alumni Association Distinguished Award last June 17. Dr. Makalinao, also a pediatrician, was the recipient of the 2014 Metrobank Foundation Award for Continuing Excellence in Service (ACES) and the Search for Outstanding Teachers in 2008 for the higher education category. At present, Dr. Makalinao serves as Special to the Chancellor for External Linkages and Partners of the University of the Philippines-Manila.
