World Teachers Day Celebration – Documentary Film Making Contest Mechanics

A documentary film is a nonfictional motion picture intended to document some aspect of reality, primary for the purposes of instruction or maintaining a historical record. ​

Mechanics:

•The documentary film making contest is open to high school and college students all over the Philippines. However, there must be one entry per school/college/university only.

•The film must adhere to the theme "Ang Gurong Pilipino: Salamin ng Kadakilaan, Lundayan ng Kagalingan."

•The length of the film shall not exceed ten (10) minutes.

•The film may be edited using any software or any editing methods.

•Music used in any entry must be original. Otherwise, in using copyrighted music, participants must properly acknowledge the artist/music company/producer.

•Film entries must be accompanied with a duly accomplished documentary film entry form with a certification from the School Principal/Dean or College President that the film is the original work of their students.

  • Deadline for submission of entries is on September 15, 2015.

• Three entries will be selected as winners nationwide. They will receive the following cash prizes during the awarding ceremonies:

First Place : Php 10,000

Second Place : Php 7,000

Third Place : Php 5,000

•Film entries must be in any of the following format: mp4, mpeg, mov, vob, and avi. The film must be saved in a DVD or CD for submission to the national secretariat on or before September 15, 2015 to the address below:
