Essay writing Contest Mechanics

 

In anticipation of the upcoming QUT‐Philippine Universities Signing Ceremony and Alumni Function, we are conducting an essay writing contest for all Filipino QUT alumni answering the question, “How has your experience in QUT Australia impacted your work or life?”

 

Submission requirements and Deadline

Entries must be written in the English language with a limit of 500 words. Participants are

welcome (optional) to include supporting photos in their essays.

Entries must be in the form of .pdf or .doc files and sent by email to Ms. Roxanne Tobias at

roxanne.tobias@qut.edu.au on or before 30 Novembert 2014.

Criteria and Selection

Entries will be judged based on the following criteria:

Relevance and influence, 35%

Novelty and creativity, 30%

Organization and structure, 25%

Style and grammar, 10%

A panel of judges from QUT will select the essay competition winners.

Announcement and Prizes

Winners will be announced on 4 March 2015 during the QUT‐Philippine Universities

Signing Ceremony and Alumni Function at Makati Shangrila Hotel
